ModVans 276Ah LiFePO4 Floor Battery Module V2

ModVans designed the patent pending floor battery of our dreams in-house. We are now building our second generation floor battery which consist of multiple identical modules that are designed to drop into rectangular holes in your floor insulation. Each module is 276Ah @ 12V. A typical 144" or 148" wheelbase van can have up to 7 modules (including room for our Modular Seating System) for a total capacity of 1932Ah (more if you don't need seats or have a longer RV). Because the module is a layer of your floor, they take practically no space inside your RV.

Each module contains a built-in Micro Battery Management System (BMS) and heating pad, so all you need to do is run wires from each module to your house power. The Micro BMS is completely self contained with a fuse, battery disconnect, current monitor, high powered cell balancer and temperature sensors for each cell group and the Micro BMS. Included with your purchase is a small adapter that allows you to connect to the Micro BMSs via Bluetooth.

The module is sealed and connectorized. Mating connectors will be provided. 3D CAD of the battery module will be provided so you can integrate it with the design of your floor.

Because these battery modules pull massive amounts of charging current, to avoid abusing your chassis battery system, you must use a DC to DC charger and/or install a dedicated house battery charging alternator to charge from your chassis engine. Contact our sales team for more details.

ModVans Floor System

In conjunction with our modular seating system, we have a flooring system used in our RVs. The typical layers of this system are, from top to bottom:

- CNC cut high quality, attractive vinyl with holes and plugs for the 5 2nd and 3rd row seat positions.
- CNC cut plywood to give a nice flat floor and allow mounting of modular furniture using T-nuts
- CNC cut polyisocyanurate insulation. This layer provides great thermal insulation and is carved to sit flat over the van floor ribs and seat mounting plates. This layer has rectangular cutouts that allow the battery modules to be dropped into place.
