ModVans Wall Mount Awning Bracket Kit
ModVans Wall Mount Awning Bracket Kit provides a strong, clean looking way to mount an awning on a high roof van so that it completely covers the slider door. The kit consists of consists of a custom designed black powder coated aluminum bracket for the front of the awning and internal braces installed inside the van to support the middle and rear of the awning. The kit was designed for Dometic 3.5 meter wall mount awning, but it basically provides a flat wall like surface, so it can easily be adapted to other wall mount awnings.
Our kit solves several problems we found mounting awnings on high roof vans:
1) Mounting the awning on a roof rack won't allow the awning to completely cover the slider door without an unacceptable amount of cantilever.
2) Mounting the awning on a roof rack places the awning higher than necessary, reducing the amount of shade provided when the sun is not directly overheat (which is most of the time!).
3) Awning vendors have transitioned most of their awnings to wall mount designs.
4) Wall mount awnings place a lot of stress on the the attachment point when extended. The kit provides the support you need and instructions to locate the appropriate locations for holes and brackets.
